Ethical guidelines
Aura Insight regularly conducts opinion and market research aimed at parts of, or the entire, public. In doing so, we follow our ethical guidelines, which are based on guidance from organizations such as World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR), European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR) and Etiska rådet för marknadsundersökningar (ERM).
Clear demarcation from marketing
Aura Insight conducts surveys to collect information and does not conduct so-called “push polls” where the purpose is to influence respondents rather than listen to their opinions.
Clear sender
When we conduct surveys, it is always clear that the survey is conducted by Aura Insight.
Respondent Privacy
Anyone participating in surveys conducted by Aura Insight is always anonymous unless otherwise specified in the survey.
Any personal data collected is handled in accordance with GDPR.
Aura Insight never sells personal data such as contact information to third parties.
Survey Design
In designing our surveys, Aura Insight always strives to avoid language that could be perceived as offensive and questions should be perceived as neutral.
Our clients
Aura Insight sometimes conducts surveys on its own initiative but usually on behalf of our clients. As a rule, it is not clear who the client is when we conduct a survey, there are several reasons for this.
a) Avoiding distortion in participation. Most often, the purpose of our surveys is to reflect the opinions of the general public, this would be more difficult if some respondents choose not to participate in the survey in light of who the client is.
b) Avoiding distortion in the answers. We respect that people may have different opinions about our clients and we do not want that type of opinion to influence how people respond to our surveys.
Regulatory Compliance
In addition to the above, Aura Insight always ensures that our work is carried out in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable in the country where we conduct a survey.
